the wedding to get a sense of our relationship as a couple, and to understand our wedding plans so you could capture the spirit of our party through your pictures. The engagement pictures you took allowed us to become comfortable working together and we were then able to give these pictures to our parents as wedding gifts. (My mother's comment: "I've never seen pictures that capture your relationship with Michael so perfectly.") You were willing to travel from San Francisco to Chicago to photograph our wedding—and in an incredible display of dedication and professionalism, ended up making the trip by car in the face of non-existent air travel after September 11th.

And—most importantly—our pictures are fantastic. Not only did you document each piece of our carefully-planned wedding perfectly, but you also captured special moments between the two of us, between our families, and with our friends and wedding party. You were completely unobtrusive, but were always there to get the perfect shot (in fact, we didn't realize until we watched our wedding video how expertly you had situated yourself to get those fabulous, intimate photos of us). Our formal pictures are also incredible; we managed a ton of formal shots after our ceremony without missing too many cocktails, and—together with our entire wedding party and families—had a blast doing so.
